Championship Tractor Pulling

Contest Rules:

 

1.    All drivers must be 16 years of age by the day of the pull. No one under 16 allowed in RING

2.    Machinery dealers are not eligible.

3.    Tractor must be owned at least 30 days prior to this event.

4.    All drivers must sign a release form at the time of filling out the entry form.

5.    Pace - will run in the stock class and use pace tractor.

6.    Non-Pace - will not nm pace tractor and is open to any farm tractor who is stock

7.    Tractors with factory-sized turbos will be allowed (Up to 3 inches).

8.    Decision of the Tractor Pulling Committee is final.

9.    All hitches will be inspected at weigh-in and the committee will have the right to disqualify a unsafe hitch

10 Hitch height will be at the discretion of the weight master.

11.   If breakage occurs, pull will be measured at that point

12.   All drivers will obey flagman’s signals.

13.   Driver will be disqualified for reckless operation of tractor, before, during or after pull.

14.   Tractors may be entered in only one division - but must comply with Tires Rule ~ 14

15.   Tractors may be entered once in each class - may enter only a total of 3 classes.

 

General Requirements: Pace & Non-Pace

 

1.    Contest open to farm tractors with rubber tires. No four-wheel drive allowed.

2.    Each entrant must hook to a stationary (no three-point hitch) drawbar with a maximum of 20 inches and

      extend at least 20 inches from the center axle. Driver must furnish a clevis or hitch point

      with at least three-inch hole.

3.    No pressurized fuels allowed except LP gas. No oxygen allowed

4.    No portion of the tractor may interfere with sled or hitching device.

5.    All weights must be secured to the tractor and must not extend beyond back rear tires and

      interfere with hooking of sled. No weights shall extend more than 12 inches from the tire,

      no protruding bolts will be allowed anywhere.

6.    No weight-frame or weights may extend more than 24 inches beyond the forward point of tractor

7.    All tractors must be equipped with workable rear wheel hikes.

8.    All tractors must be equipped with a hood and grill.

9.    The use of torque converters, automatic shifts, etc. will be permitted during the pull.

10.   All tractors must have straight stacks or factory exhaust

11.   All tractors must have stabilizers, 3 inches back of tires. No more than 10 inches off the ground

       with at least 5 inch square pad capable of supporting the weight of the tractor.

12.   All tractors must have workable power take off and have no cut tires.

13.   All tractors “MUST BE STOCK” (or as when it left the factory). All stock tractors must be equipped with hood, grill,

        PTO shafts and factory front end. (i.e. nothing removed from tractor

14.   Pace & Non-Pace - Tire size for Pace 5500 & 6500- max size 15.5 and for Pace 7500 & Non-Pace 5500 -7500.nuxsre 18A

15.   Maximum Rotary Pump -Not to exceed 13 mm. (Must be stock appearing)

 

NEW CLASSES

Division 1 Natural Class 1 5,500 lbs. Class 2 6,500 lbs.  Class 3 7,500 lbs.  Class 4 9,500 lbs.
Division 2 Turbo Class 5 9,500 lbs. Class 6 11,500 lbs.     Class 7 13,500 Lbs. Class 8 15,500 Lbs.

Division 3 Enhanced

Class 9 6,500 lbs. Class 10 7,500 lbs.

             Class 11 9,500 lbs.

 

Safety and Tractor Operations:

 

1.    Operator must remain seated during the pull, and must have complete control of the tractor at all times.

2.    No driver will be allowed to participate under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication that impair ability

3.    Front wheels off the ground 25 inches; will be deemed unsafe by judges and the committee.

 

Operation of Contest:

 

I.    All pulls must start from a tight hitch, no jerking permitted.

2.    Tractors must remain within boundaries of contest course during the pull or will be disqualified

3.    Only one pull allowed each contestant unless tie is declared.

4.    The pull shall be considered over when forward motion of the load stops.

5.    The order of pull will be determined by draw.

6.    Number 1 puller may re -pull only if weight machine i~ changed.

7.    Tractors must be stopped immediately ipon signal from judge or disqualification will occur.

8.    Lost weights while hooked to machine will mean disqualification

9.    Tractors will be weighed with the driver immediately before the official pull.

10.   Drivers will be responsible for having tractors within weight limit or be disqualified.

11.   Tractors must be removed from show ring after they pull. Only tractors that make a full pull May stay.

 

Registration:

 

1.    May be made at the booth on the morning of the pull

2.    Must fill out a complete entry form and Non-refundable entry fee must be paid at this time.

      A release must be signed by the driver and helper. non pace is $15.00 and enhanced is $20.00.

3.    Each driver is entitled to two wristbands for $6.00. Wristbands will be purchased outside of

      show ring afterwaivers signed (no-one under 16 will be allowed a wristband).

 

Special Note:

 

1.    No persons allowed in pulling area except driver of the class.( the pull will be delayed

      if unauthorized are in the ring —a separate seating area is provider for the helpers and drivers not puffing)

2.    The Herkimer County Fair will not be held responsible for an accident or personal injury.

 

Enhanced Tractors -separate rules can be obtained upon request but all need a kill switch, transmission blanket, side shields on motor and lap belts or roll cage. Must follow general rules of stock tractors
