Singers will be accepted
under the following rules :
1. Register applications may be requested by mail - walk in accepted at audition. 2. Auditions will take place on the fairgrounds on Sunday , August 3rd at 11am - registration will begin at 11:00am. 3. Auditions will not require music; contestants will be required to sing one (1) minute of acappela. 4. Performances will be judged by a panel of three (3). 5. Six (6) contestants per division will move to the elimination round , which will take place on Friday , August 15th at 6:30pm in the karaoke tent. Performances will be judged by the same judging panel. Contestants will be required to sing 90 seconds to a karaoke music CD. 6. The final three (3) contestants per division will perform in the Herkimer County Fair Idol Showcase under the Pavilion. Contestants will be required to sing two (2) minutes to a karaoke music CD on Sunday , August 17th at 2pm. Winner of each division will be chosen by the audience by means of paper ballot. 7. Profession conduct is required from each contestant, participant, and parent. 8. Misconduct may result in a forfeiture of prizes. |
